Have you ever noticed how on all the cooking programs on television everything looks so easy to make? Sure there's a lot of "Here's one I prepared previously" happening, but that's not the only thing that makes it seem so easy. I've watched it closely lately and I've realized the secret to their success is preparation. You know how they've always got all of their ingredients measured out and waiting in little stainless steel bowls? Then, to make something, it's as simple as "add a bit of this, then a bit of that and a pinch of this," and then, just like that, it's done How easy is that? I call it "prepared cooking" and it has inspired me to change my ways. No "prepared cooking" kitchen is complete without a good quality set of stainless steel bowls to mix and prepare in and, quite frankly, mine were not up to scratch. However, I was not about to give up on my dream of prepared cooking Straight on to Amazon.com I went to search for a nice set of stainless steel mixing/preparation bowls. Wow What a huge range - there were almost too many to choose from. In fact I had so much trouble deciding that I finished up ordering three different sets. Another thing I love about shopping on Amazon, with their no hassle returns policy, I knew it was OK for me to order 3 sets and return the two I didn't want. The 3 sets arrived and I was nearly instantly able to guess which set I would be keeping - the packaging alone was nearly enough to convince me. The Checkered Chef set was delivered in a strong, sturdy box, branded with their usual check pattern - a far cry from the flimsy unmarked plain box one of the other sets arrived in. Once they were unpacked it was easy to see that the superior quality extended beyond the box. The Checkered Chef bowls felt heavier and sturdier than the other 2 sets - I don't think I could dent them if I tried - one of the bowls from the other sets arrived with a dent in it (probably due to the poor packaging). It was a no-brainer - I sent back the other 2 sets and have proudly begun using my Checkered Chef stainless steel mixing bowls in my cooking preparation. I found out about Learn more at amazon.com/Checkered-Chef-Stainless-Mixing-Finish/dp/B00WS58KLQ/mixing bowls/ by searching Yahoo. It has actually become a real time saver - I use my children to help get the ingredients ready One can be measuring 2 cups of flour into a bowl while the other is measuring half a cup of sugar into another bowl - in no time all the ingredients are prepared and, just like you see on the telly, it's so fast to put it all together. OK, so you're probably thinking - what about all the washing up with the extra bowls? You know what? I don't even notice it - I just pop them into the dishwasher and my work is done There are plenty of uses for this set in every kitchen - whether it's whisking up an egg or two or stirring up a whole cake mixture. And, because they are stainless steel without any silicone coating on the base, they can even be used over a saucepan of boiling water as a double boiler to melt chocolate. Whether it's mixing, double-boiling or preparation, the number of jobs you will discover for these bowls in your kitchen is endless So, if you think you'd like to have a go at "preparation cooking", or if you're just looking for a good quality set of stainless steel mixing bowls, I highly recommend these bowls.
